Catherine Lemoine started learning her craft after graduating from college when she began her training in marquetry and earned a CAP (Certificat d'aptitude professionelle — Vocational Aptitude Certificate) degree in that field. Passionate about her new career, she took her first job at an aircraft manufacturer creating contemporary marquetry pieces. But her personal taste for history and antiques progressively drew her towards the restoration of antique furniture and inlaid objects, a task which, after a long period of further training, she has now been carrying out for 20 years.
In 1997, Catherine was the recipient of SEMA's (Société d’Encouragement aux Métiers d’Art — Society for the Promotion of Crafts) regional Grand Prize in recognition of the outstanding quality of her work.
Arnaud Lemoine, who holds bachelor degrees in Law and in Art History, decided to take on a restoration apprenticeship while working on his bachelor thesis on the restoration of a single drawer Louis XV commode. After learning the craft he joined the family studio where he has been practicing for the past 7 years. In 2001, Arnaud's work also received recognition from SEMA when he was awarded a departmental Grand Prize.
Throughout the years, Catherine and Arnaud Lemoine have acquired a regional and national clientele appreciative of their professionalism, their talent and the quality of their service. Their willingness to advise and communicate openly have earned them the trust of their client. Their shared desire to refine their knowledge of their craft leads them to regularly research and explore new restoration techniques at professional workshops. Determined to remain top marquetry and inlaid furniture restoration professionals, they are now investing in new technologies to meet their personal and professional goals.
